Eligibility

 

1. Education:

Advanced university degree in demography, statistics, public health or other social science related discipline. 

 

2. Knowledge and Experience:

  • At least two years of professional experience in census planning, data collection and analysis.
  • Experience in use of statistical packages such as SPSS, R, or STATA for demographic and socio-economic analytical purposes.
  • Experience in providing training in demographic and socio-economic data and analysis.
  • Excellent office computer skills (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and others).
  • Strong document writing and reviewing skills and ability to prepare presentations.
  • Familiarity with the ICPD PoA and the 2030 Agenda on Sustainable Development.
  • Experience in use of geospatial packages such as ArcGIS or QGIS for demographic and socio- economic analytical purposes an asset.
  • Experience in the UN system an asset.
