This is the brief of the midline study conducted under the Gender-based Violence Prevention and Response (GBVPR II) project that UNFPA implements with funding from the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and the Royal Norwegian Embassy of Nepal (RNE) in 19 municipalities in the Koshi and Sudurpaschim provinces in from 2020-2026. The study aimed to assess the effectiveness of the project's prevention and response interventions, following up with a sub-sample of baseline study respondents who benefited from project support (adolescents, couples, service providers and survivors) in 9 municipalities. Data for the study was collected from August-September 2023, using a mixed-method approach. The study provides crucial evidence to inform programmatic adaptations to achieve the project's intended outcomes. UNFPA conducted the study in partnership with Emory University.
