This formative research report seeks to inform the implementation of the Gender-Based Violence Prevention and Response Programme, Phase II (GBVPR II 2020-2024) - a flagship project implemented by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Nepal. This research report, conducted by the Prevention Collaborative from December 2021 and January 2022, consists of a desk-based literature review on gender-based violence (GBV), gender norms, and migration in Nepal. The Prevention Collaborative then analysed the field research and validated the findings in an online workshop. The interviews and focus group discussions were conducted in 10 of the 19 targeted municipalities of the project in Province 1 and Sudurpaschim Province.
