On 25 April 2015 a devastating 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck Nepal with the epicentre in Barpak, Gorkha. Dozens of aftershocks followed, including a 6.7 magnitude earthquake on 26 April 2015. To plan for long-term reconstruction and to restore not only lost assets but also to rebuild lives, the Naitonal Planning Commission together with core PDNA partners — United Nations, World Bank Group, ADB, European Union and JICA — prepared this report.
